Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Readimedic. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Readimedic website and platform (the "Platform"), operated by Readimedic ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing the Platform or creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

Our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle your personal information, is available on our Privacy Policy page.

1. Eligibility

You may use the Platform only if you are at least 18 years old and capable of forming a legally binding contract under Australian law. Clinician accounts are intended for medical practitioners working in, or seeking work in, Australian general practice.

2. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering and keep it up to date via your profile page.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately at support@readimedic.com.au if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that provide false, misleading, or unverifiable professional information.

3. The Platform Service

Readimedic connects clinicians seeking practice opportunities with clinics and practices offering them. We provide the venue for the connection; we are not a party to any employment, locum, contractor, or engagement arrangement between a clinician and a clinic. We do not:

  • verify the professional qualifications or registration of any user;
  • guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or lawfulness of opportunity details posted by clinics; and
  • guarantee that any clinician will be matched with, or offered, any position.

Clinicians and clinics are solely responsible for conducting their own due diligence, negotiating terms, and entering into agreements with each other.

4. Acceptable Use

You must not:

  • use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these Terms;
  • post opportunities or profile information that is false, misleading, or discriminatory;
  • upload CVs or other materials that contain malicious code or infringe another person's rights;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts, the CV storage area, or any part of the Platform's infrastructure;
  • scrape, harvest, or bulk-download content from the Platform; or
  • resell or commercially exploit Platform content without our written consent.

5. Content and CVs

  • You retain ownership of content you submit, including your CV, and grant us a non-exclusive licence to store it and make it available to our administrators for verification while your account exists.
  • CV files cannot be retrieved or re-downloaded by other users; they are viewable only by platform administrators for verification purposes.
  • You may remove your CV through your profile at any time. We may remove any content that breaches these Terms.

6. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, text, graphics, and code, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by Australian and international intellectual property law. You may not copy or use Platform materials without our prior written consent.

7. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, we exclude liability for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform, including loss of income, opportunity, or data. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited, at our option, to the resupply of the services or the cost of that resupply.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.

9. Indemnity

You indemnify us against any loss, cost, or expense arising from your breach of these Terms, your unlawful use of the Platform, or your engagement with another user of the Platform.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms or where we consider it reasonably necessary to protect the Platform or other users. You may stop using the Platform and close your account at any time.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. The courts of that jurisdiction have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may amend these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes and post the updated Terms on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.
