Readimedic ("we", "us", "our") operates a platform that connects general practitioners (GPs) and GP clinics across Australia. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use our website and services.

By creating an account or using Readimedic, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Our Terms and Conditions, which set out the rules governing your use of the platform, are available on our Terms and Conditions page.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Account information: your name, email address, password (stored only in hashed form), and account preferences.
Professional information: for clinicians, details you provide in your profile, such as your clinician category (e.g. FRACGP/FACRRM fellow, pathway candidate, or independent pathway), training program, AHPRA registration details, residential status, moratorium status, and supervision requirements.
Curriculum Vitae (CV): if you choose to upload a CV, the file is stored securely and is only viewable by platform administrators for verification purposes.
Opportunity details: information posted by clinics about practice locations, roles, and requirements.
Usage data: information about how you interact with the platform, such as pages visited and actions taken, collected to improve our services.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

create and manage your account and authenticate your sign-in;
match clinicians with practice opportunities that fit their circumstances;
allow administrators to verify clinician details against the information on your CV;
communicate with you about your account and the platform;
maintain the security, integrity, and performance of the platform; and
comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.

3. Storage and Security

Your data is stored with Appwrite, our backend-as-a-service provider, in Sydney-based data centres (syd.cloud.appwrite.io). We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

CV files uploaded to the platform cannot be retrieved or re-downloaded by other users. They are only viewable by platform administrators for verification.

4. Disclosure of Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose your information:

To clinics you engage with: when you apply for or accept an opportunity, the relevant details are shared with the clinic to progress the engagement.
To service providers: to Appwrite (data storage) and PostHog (product analytics) under contractual protections that restrict their use of your data to providing services to us.
For legal reasons: where required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

5. Your Rights and Choices

You may, at any time:

access and update your profile information through your clinician profile page;
request a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
request correction of inaccurate or outdated information;
delete your CV from our storage; and
close your account, after which we will delete your personal information.

6. Cookies

We use a strictly necessary cookie to keep you signed in. We also use PostHog cookies for anonymised product analytics. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; blocking sign-in cookies will prevent you from staying authenticated.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
